Genetic analysis

The first scan of the blood tests has been done from important parts of the material. The most modern genetic technique has been used.
The goal with this scan is to find signals where the disease gene is to be found.

Up to date the PRA gene still is hidden, but the researchers are repeating the metods for hopefully be able to find what they are looking for.

As soon as some news of interest are coming up, we will give information on this site.

We recommend to repeate eye tests for dogs with PRA-diagnosis, also dogs with diagnosis like Kataract and other kinds of alteration in retina.
